How to Prep for Your July 4th Party

Putting together a July 4th celebration can seem chaotic, but it really should be a fun time! Plan your most entertaining and creative party yet with these simple steps:

Create a Menu
Surprise your guests with a spread of mouth-watering entrees, thirst-quenching drinks, and delicious desserts. Grilled Pork Tenderloin with corn on the cob makes a great alternative to traditional burgers and is sure to set your party apart from the rest! You can also try an American flag printed cake to show your patriotism and get your guests in the July 4th spirit! It may look like a white cake on the outside, but guests will love the red white and blue print when you cut into the cake.

Get Your Patio Ready
Step one to getting your patio ready: power wash it. We recommend presoaking the surface with a detergent to cut down on wash time. Secondly, don’t forget to wipe down your tables with a natural, chemical-free, DIY cleaner. Before you’re done, remember to water your plants to keep them looking fresh for the special event!

Decorate
It’s Independence Day, so don’t be afraid to go a little overboard with the stars and stripes. This means adding mini flags to your flower pots, placing down table runners, hanging up garland, and setting out red white and blue plates.

Residents at Copper Square benefit from maintenance free living to allow more time to decorate to their heart’s content for the holiday. Our Models, Design Studio & Sales Center are now open. Call today at (203)778-4800 or visit our website for more information.

Summer Colors for Your Home

If we could put summer decor into one word, it would be “colorful”. Summer is the perfect time to make a splash in your home using bright and cheery hues. That being said, here are the top five interior design colors in this year’s forecast:

summer home decor colors

Cobalt Blue
Blue reminds us of the ocean. It can make a statement in any home simply by adding a new lampshade, area rug, or pillow cover. It’s the little things that make such a statement without going overboard.

Exotic Orange
Energize your space by adding punches of vibrant orange in your home. Switch up your wallpaper for an orange geo pattern, create an assortment of Asiatic lilies, or go big by purchasing a new sofa or cushion cover.

Sunny Yellow
Nothing says, “Hello, Summer” more than the color yellow. Yellow can brighten your room and your boost your mood. It resembles the sun and pairs great with navy, gray, and white.

Crisp White
Breathe new life into your home by making everything white. That fresh and clean monochromatic look is classic but looks especially great when the natural sunlight shines into your home. Try this design in your bedroom or in the master bath.

Warm Gray
Gray with yellow undertones can make your space feel neutral without feeling too basic. It goes well with metallics, wood textures, as well as pastels.

4 Things to Do Before Buying a Home

So you’ve decided to invest in a home, but you’re not sure where to start. Buying a home can be a long and tedious process, so making a to-do list will help ease your stress. Here are four tips to get you started:

1. Make a priorities list
First things first - make a list of what’s important to you (location, budget, type of home). If you’re moving in with someone for the first time, it’s important to compromise what’s important - what are you willing to give up and what are you not.

2.Get pre-approved
Be sure to contact the bank for pre-approval. The bank with request all the information that’s needed so you can know how much mortgage you are qualified for. IT might be one of the more mundane things to do before buying a home, but it’s one of the most essential!

3. Search together
Search for houses and neighborhoods to get a feel for where you most desire to live. To gain a better understanding, meet with a realtor. They have several resources and connections that can educate you better on the market and tell you step by step how to go about the buying process.

4. Look for availability
Search online for housing availability in your desired location. See which houses, townhomes, and duplexes are available to gain a better understanding of the market.

Benefits of Having a Pool at Home

When considering whether or not to invest in a home with a swimming pool, you might be torn about a few things: the upkeep, the real need for it, the value. At Copper Square, we believe there are many benefits (for both mind and body) to owning a little piece of summer fun on your property:

Fitness
The health benefits alone are worth having a swimming pool. Swimming works your entire body, including your arms, legs, and core - even just 15 to 30 minutes at a time can significantly increase your muscle strength and improve your flexibility.

Family Time

Pool time also calls for family time. What we mean is, you can create an annual tradition - maybe a "Sunday Fun-day" routine where you all agree that summer weekends are for swimming. However you decide to plan, being able to gather outdoors with those closest to you can strengthen your bond and give you a more exciting option than Family Game Night.

Stress Relief
Going for a casual swim is one of the most effective and natural relaxers for both the body and the mind. Picture this: coming home from a long 9-5 work day and being able to kick off your shoes and splash your worries away - it’s a major benefit to those who own a pool.

A Reason to Stay Home
There’s no place like home - especially if you can take a relaxing dip in your swimming pool on a hot summer afternoon! Having a swimming pool on your own property means you don’t need to pack the car and take a trip to the community pool - just take a quick walk out back for some fun in the sun! Think of it as your very own “staycation”.

At Copper Square, our residents look forward to our Elements Pool Deck & Bar where they can take a dip in a heated swimming pool and lounge in a luxurious cabana with a cool drink in hand! The best part is that residents get to enjoy the many benefits while not having to worry about the maintenance - that’s up to us!

How to Throw the Perfect Memorial Day Party

Memorial Day is a time for us to remember and thank those who risk their lives fighting for our country, It’s also considered the annual kickoff of summer. If you’re celebrating Memorial Day this year by hosting a party for friends and family, here are a few preparations to consider:

Decorations - Show your patriotism this holiday by going red, white, and blue! Inside the home, switch up the color of your candles and pillows, and set red and white carnation flowers on the dining room table. On your outdoor patio, place tiny flags in a mason jar filled with patriotic flowers and hang a large American-themed ribbon on your front door (the first thing guests will see when you greet them).

Rearrange seating - Create a more cozy setting for your Memorial Day party moving your indoor and outdoor furniture around. For example, if you have a love seat and a large arm chair, turn them inwards towards each other to make it easy for guests to converse.

Buffet style setup - Memorial Day parties should be casual. So set up a buffet style food arrangement where your guests can come back for seconds and thirds!

Tidy up - Last but not least, remember to tidy up the home before your event - guests will feel much more welcome. Plus, you’ll open up more space for all your party necessities.

At Copper Square, we make preparing for summer parties easy for our residents by taking care of the yard work. Take a sneak peek of our townhome and duplex models by visiting our gallery »

Reasons the Suburbs Beat City Living

Whether you’re downsizing or looking for your first home, you might be torn between city and suburban living. Although there’s no denying that the city has plenty to offer, here is why suburban living is the better option:

More Space
Unlike city living, the suburbs offer plenty of more space. Your home will be larger, you’ll have easier access to parking, and you won’t have to handle large crowds. You also have the option for a backyard pool and luxurious patio or deck.

More Greenery
Yearning for a healthier lifestyle? If so, then suburban living is the perfect solution for you. The city is surrounded by tall buildings and smoke stacks, but the suburbs will make you feel happier and more connected to nature. When you visit states, like Connecticut, you’ll know exactly what we mean!

Still Close to City Fun
Just because you live in the suburbs, doesn’t mean you still can’t enjoy the city! When you live in the suburbs, you get the best of both worlds - you can live in a larger home yet still take a short commute to the more urban areas around you.

At Copper Square, we are located in the heart of the growing suburban town of Bethel. We offer plenty of space and beautiful outdoor grounds for the summer, including our Elements Pool Deck and Bar. Copper Square is also conveniently located close to New York City - close enough for commuting and weekend trips.

Kitchen Color Trends That Can't Go Wrong

Building a dream kitchen is a big commitment that should last. We all hear about trends that come and go, but did you know there are many classic trends that you can stick with for decades? Here are top three options:

All white
White is timeless and perfect for the kitchen. You can’t go wrong with one of the most popular colors in interior design, especially when you keep it monochromatic. If an all-white kitchen sounds like your style, focus on layering white on white and emphasizing different textures from your wood cabinets, to your glossy countertops, to your tile floors - ideal for contemporary and transitional style homes.

Neutral Gray

If white is a bit too bright for your taste, opt for gray. Designing a gray kitchen can be tricky, but is a sophisticated color you can’t go wrong with. The best part about going gray is that you can keep your staple interiors neutral but still add hot colors, like reds and yellows.

Mix and Match
Want a more colorful kitchen? Don’t be afraid to mix and match! Salt and pepper is a popular style that is also classic due to its neutral undertones. Black and white are both classic colors that can be mixed together to create a contrasting, luxurious style. Try pairing black (or dark brown) cabinets and drawers with white countertops.

You classic, dream kitchen is waiting for your at Copper Square! We design both modern and classic designs to fit each lifestyle and personal interior design taste.

Arranging Your Patio Garden

Arbor Day is around the corner! It makes us wonder: could you imagine a home without plants? Plants breathe live into our homes and make us feel more connected with our beautiful environment. Spring is all about growing new life in our outdoor spaces - even on our backyard patios! Here are five containers you need for your patio garden this season:

Ceramic PotCeramic pots reflect in the sunlight and add a pop of color to your outdoor space. Try complementary colors such as a blue pot dedicated to a lemon tree (which, by the way, smell delicious).

Clementine Box
Eat your way through a juicy box of clementines, and when you’re finished, recycle the box for your patio. Not only are clementine boxes a perfect fit for flowers, but they also add a rustic appeal to your space. Plant hyacinths or sunflowers, which thrive best with lots of sun and water.

Tall Containers
Tall containers made of glass create an elegant appeal for your patio area. They’re ideal for tall bloom such as tulips and can be set as a centerpiece on your outdoor table or along the ledge of your patio.

Terrarium
A terrarium allows for a self-sufficient environment and is great for succulents and tropical plants.

Pitcher
Pitchers weren’t just made for lemonade - they also make great plant holders! Add dark colored plants for contrast, such as purple shamrock, and don’t forget to add drainage holes for watering.

When you choose a home at Copper Square, you’ll have the luxury of setting up your very own patio garden. Are you ready to take an inside peek at what Copper Square has to offer? Visit our gallery »

The Best Time to Find Your Dream Home

Buying a home is one of the greatest achievements and milestones in your life. It doesn’t matter whether it’s your first home or your third - finding a new place to call yours leaves you with a good feeling and a sense of security.

Knowing you’re ready to move is one thing, but finding the right time is another. Although experts might suggest one of time the year over another, you might have a better experience around summer. Here’s why:

Pleasant weather
Imagine traveling through snow and ice for an open house - might not be the most enjoyable! Now picture yourself strolling from one home to another on a sunny afternoon. Sounds more enjoyable doesn’t it? When summer rolls around, not only does the search for a new home become easier, but it also gives you the opportunity to check out the neighborhood and become acquainted.

Beat the rush
Whether it be Spring Break or summer vacation, we’re coming closer to that time of year when many people are out of town, which means more opportunity for you. With many people on vacation this season, you’ll be able to beat the rush and focus on your needs without too much anxiety or competition.

Move in before winter
One of the biggest benefits of finding your dream home in summer? Moving in before the chilly weather! That’s right - finding your dream home even during the hottest time of the year means you’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful weather and fall foliage when October arrives - before the cold winter settles in.

If you’re thinking about finding your new dream home but aren’t sure when to begin, why not start now? At Copper Square, our maintenance-free living community offers townhomes and duplexes that homeowners can purchase. Our residents love the beautiful summer ambiance and breathtaking fall foliage right outside their windows!

Earth Day: Green Cleaning Your Home

Today is Earth Day! If you’re on a mission to tidy up your home over the weekend, now is the perfect time to be mindful of how we can do so in a way that not only keeps things clean, but also helps give back to the environment. Here are three green cleaning methods we recommend:

Eco-Friendly Products
Did you know that household poisonings are one of the greatest threats to our health? The biggest culprit of these poisonings is your household cleaners. So look under your sink, grab all the chemical cleaners you have, and read each label. You want to avoid bleach and other dangerous chemicals. A telltale sign that these products are full of chemicals is that they will display the words poison, danger, caution, or warning. Replace these products with non-toxic cleaners or natural ingredients such as white distilled vinegar, baking soda, and lemon.

Recycling
From morning newspapers to glass, take a moment to consider all the products in your home that can be recycled. Establish a bin for plastic items and dispose of them separately from other waste products.

Donate
Once spring cleaning is complete, create a box for donations. There are many clothing, kitchen, and home decor items that could find a second life somewhere else, with someone who needs it. Drop off your donations at a local Salvation Army or Goodwill. You could also try Craigslist or drop your items off with an artist who can reuse them. Not only will your home look less cluttered, but you’ll be doing your community a favor.

Copper Square is here to make spring cleaning easier for you. While you’re busy green cleaning the home, let us take care of the rest! Our outdoor cleaning and repairing means you’ll have more time for outdoor fun. If you haven’t checked out Copper Square yet, don’t wait!

Spring Cleaning: Organizing Your Closet

If getting ready in the morning is stressing you out, then you’re probably due for spring cleaning your closet! But we know that digging into the abyss of your closet can seem daunting. That’s why we’ve answered these two crucial questions - just to take some weight off your shoulders!

How do I make cleaning up easier?
  1. Create a playlist of your favorite tunes so zone into cleaning and out of distracting background noise
  2. Looking at everything you need to clean up all at once can be overwhelming and discouraging, so divide and conquer. By that, we mean organize everything into categories and work group by group.
  3. Make three piles: keep, toss, and donate. Toss into these boxes so you can fold and organize later.
  4. If one method of organizing didn't work for you in the past, don't feel restricted by old habits. Instead, find a new way to organize. Ask friends, neighbors, or do a quick Google search - one method will stand out!
What should I empty out?
These questions can help you determine which items to keep and which to either toss away or donate:
  1. Does it fit?
  2. Have I worn it in the last 12 months?
  3. Does this currently represent my style?
  4. Is this a “staple” item?
  5. If I was shopping now, would I purchase this?
  6. Do I feel good wearing it?
  7. Will I likely ever wear it again?
Feel like your closet is still bursting at the seams? At Copper Square, we offer spacious closets to make organizing easier! The best part is that our spacious, luxurious townhomes and duplexes come at an affordable price!

Decorating Your Patio for Summer

May is just a few weeks away, which means we’ll be spending more time outdoors! Decorating your outdoor space doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg! Decorate your porch or patio with these simple and affordable DIY ideas:

Setting Up Furniture

When it comes to creating a seating area for you and your guests, it’s important to think about how you want the space to be used. For example, if it’s just two of you, you might want to keep things simple: set up two wicker chairs and a cozy coffee table. If you’re big on hosting, swap out chairs for love seats and angle them towards each other. This will help create a spot for casual conversation.

Arranging Plants
Adding greenery to your outdoor patio is one of the more obvious ways of saying “hello, summer!” But there are many ways to accomplish this. We suggest freshening up your outdoor place with potted plants - easy to setup and easy to shift around. Add texture by switching up pots with small wagons. Spruce up the space with ferns, lavender, hydrangeas, sunflowers, and other colorful greens!

 Adding Light
Light up the night in these simple ways: stick tiny tiki torches in your potted plants, create an arrangement of lantern candles on your coffee table, or set up canopy string lights. For further inspiration and simple DIY projects for outdoor lighting, we turn to Pinterest!

Current Window Treatment Must-Dos

Windows are without a doubt a place for you to get creative in your home. Whether your intention is to disguise your window or enhance it, there are a few rules to consider:

Allow lots of light
Natural sunlight as all the rage nowadays. Everyone is trying to make their homes feel bigger and better. If you have large windows, this is the perfect opportunity to maximize the amount of existing natural light. Choose light colors and airy textures, while shying away from heavy window treatments. The light glow from outside will enter your home will soften and reflect off the adjacent walls.

Play with color
Vibrant colors will always be trending. If “bright and airy” doesn’t speak to you, then try bringing bright tones into the room. Your home is a canvas for you to use, so think outside the box. Select a color palette that will complement your wall colors and…

Change it up

Keep it seasonally appropriate. No one wants black curtain in the middle of summer - swap out for white or yellow! Change things up when you redecorate as well. Why Connecticut Is the Best Place to Live

Picture this: You drive up the northeast coast, away from the chaos of a busy workday in New York City. The air is clean - fresh. Driving up, the color on the trees comes back, the traffic calms down - you’re finally home.

This is why Connecticut is the best place to live. Not to mention…

Great Education
You have Yale University, Quinnipiac University, University of Hartford - the list goes on. You will also find some of the best school districts with excellent classrooms from grades K-12.

This is why Connecticut is the best place to live.

Balance
New England charm mixed with urban convenience and nature. It’s all compacted into one state. Drive to the nearby lakes for a taste of serenity; drive into the city for entertainment, food, and drinks (foodies galore!); cruise around the neighborhood and see those colonial home and luxurious mansions - it’s all there.

This is why. Because you can have…

The Best of Both Worlds
Close proximity to your city job. You can come back to your (much more) affordable home, in a place more quiet, where you still have everything you need just minutes away.

This is why Connecticut is the best place to live.

But don’t take our word for it - come stop by! Up the coast, in the beautiful city of Danbury lies the luxurious community of Copper Square. This maintenance-free living community offers townhomes and duplexes that homeowners can purchase. The best part is that you can enjoy the luxury of owning your own home and let someone else take care of the yard work.

Natural Cleaning Hacks That Actually Work

It’s that time of year again to get down to the nitty gritty! If spring cleaning is on your to-do list, you’re probably getting ready to buy all the cleaning essentials you typically use. But did you know that those cleaning solutions contain harsh chemicals that can damage your surfaces? Instead, here is how you can naturally clean everything in your home with all natural ingredients:

Oven
With all the cooking you do in your kitchen, try scrubbing your oven with vinegar and baking soda. This should get rid of grease marks and eliminate any foul odors.

Blinds
Clean your blinds with 50 percent vinegar and 50 percent water. Use an old sock or a clean cloth to pick up dust. Again, the vinegar will help to freshen up the smell of your blinds plus get rid of stains.

Carpets
Aside from vacuuming, remove oil stains from your carpet with baking soda. Let it sit and absorb for a little while. Then rinse from the outer edge of the stain and work your way inwards.

Tub
Use a teaspoon of liquid soap and a few drops of antibacterial oils with baking soda (good for many things) plus water. Make a paste to scrub the tub with it.

Cabinets
Skip the Pledge. Mix vegetable oil and baking soda instead and use a clean toothbrush to scrub dust and dirt away.

Wishing for a property that requires less maintenance right about now? Take a moment to check out Copper Square. This maintenance-free living community offers townhomes and duplexes that homeowners can purchase. The best part is that you can enjoy the luxury of owning your own home and let someone else take care of the yard work.

Perfect Spring Colors for Your Home

The sun is shining outside, but your home still resembles the winter blues. Spring is all about brightening things up inside your home. This season, swap out your metallics for vibrant summery hues

Yellow
A bold yellow can instantly brighten up any room. Paint an accent wall, throw down new seasonal pillows, or simply arrange a vase of daisies. This is the perfect way to say “Goodbye winter, hello spring!”

Berry
Something you can’t easily get away with in winter is this pop of color. Adding pink berry pillows and floral paintings says you’re excited about warmer weather and aren’t afraid to commit to redecorating.

Iced Coffee
Sounds refreshing, doesn’t it? Staying neutral in your home is subtle, yet can help you achieve a summer boardwalk theme. It can also make your home feel bright and airy.

Sky
Not too bright or vibrant, but still a springtime statement. Switch up the paint in your bathroom or guest room and tie it with geometrical patterns and cream-colored drapes. This will instantly boost your mood and have your guests talking!

Coral
This shade is ideal for anyone who wants to add a little beach flare to their home. Pair coral pillows with turquoise table lamps in the bedroom to pair two perfect complementary colors for the season.

At Copper Square, we offer luxurious townhomes you can decorate to echo the changing seasons. Need a little help getting started? For more home decorating tips, connect with us on Facebook and Twitter.

Benefits of Moving to a Duplex

Seeking a fresh start? Moving out of a house you’ve been living in for years can seem like a scary step. That is, unless you have something new to look forward to. Many homeowners whose children have left the nest might hesitate to move into a new situation, but if you choose a duplex we promise you it’s all worth it. Here’s why:

Low maintenance
Imagine having spacious outdoor living without needing to trim the lawn or shovel the snow. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, at complexes like Copper Square we take care of everything for you so you don’t have to! This means you have more time for you and less time stressing or straining your body to get your outdoor space in tip top shape!

Community
Part of living in a duplex means having the opportunity to connect with neighbors. That’s because duplexes often come with other amenities, such as coffee shops, fitness centers, bars, outdoor pools, lounges, and more. Although living in a house has its perks, moving to a duplex means you get the best of both worlds - you still get to keep your ownership pride but also have the chance to surround yourself with more friendships and activities. In other words, you’re alone when you want to be, and close to others when you prefer.

Convenience
Sometimes walking up and down a flight of steps can be exhausting. When you choose a duplex at Copper Square, you will find your very own luxurious master bedroom on the first floor. But don’t let that fool you - there are other levels in your home for additional space. So you see, you’re not downsizing after all - just finding a new lifestyle that fits your needs!

If a duplex sounds like the right type of home for you, come check out the beautiful and luxurious duplexes we offer at Copper Square! We are located in the heart of a growing community in Bethel CT.

Our Models, Design Studio & Sales Center are now open. Call today at (203)778-4800 or visit our website for more information.

Why You Should Start House Hunting Now

You start picturing your dream home, but then something holds you back. Whether it’s timing or finances, feeling uncertain about buying a home is normal. But here are four reasons you should bite the bullet and search for an investment now before it’s too late:

Better weather for searching
Everyone knows that spring and summer means better weather for house hunting, so why miss out? With warmer weather ahead, take advantage of sunny afternoons by checking out new properties - you’ll gain a much better perspective than you might during colder, more gloomy months.

Interest rates are still low
We’re well into 2016 and believe it or not, interest rates are still at an ultimate low. With interest rates being low, you’re likely to be able to afford the home you’ve been dreaming of. Plus, you might still have leftover money you can put towards other investments aside from your new home. But if you miss this window of opportunity, interest rates might unpredictably rise again.

Enjoy outdoor living
One of several downfalls about moving in winter is not being able to take advantage of your outdoor living space. So search for a home now, and you’ll be able to move in at your most desired timeframe - just in time for spring and summer, when you can enjoy beautiful outdoor amenities and yard space.

You're ready
The top reason you should start hunting for a new home now? You’re ready. Everything in your life seems to fall in place at this moment - your job, finances, relationship status, and family situation. If you feel secure about investing in a home and sleep on it week after week, then now is the time.

What are you waiting for? Come check out the beautiful and luxurious townhomes we offer at Copper Square! We are located in Bethel CT, which offers an ideal mix of New England charm and urban convenience.

Decorating Your Home for Spring 2016

The first day of spring is finally approaching - the perfect time to freshen up your home. Spring is all about blooming flowers and bright colors. Here are a few ways to incorporate these elements and turn your living space into a breath a fresh air:

Nature
Plantlife - From lilacs to sunflowers, there are many flowers that can make your home smell like spring. Or better yet, create a fresh display in a glass terrarium, which come in many shapes and sizes. Hang from your ceiling or place on a coffee table along with other small vases to create a true summer vibe.

Birdbath - Nothing says springtime more than a birdbath. Most people think that birdbaths are meant to be outside, but why not create a mock birdbath for inside the home as well? A birdbath filled with flowering bulbs and moss is the perfect way to create a mini garden for your living room or office.

Artwork
Chalkboard - Who doesn’t love a message board where you can customize notes and set reminders for yourself? Or how about using one as a countdown to spring and summer? Hang a chalkboard on your kitchen wall and write “Happy Spring” or “Countdown to Summer” - you’ll feel like a kid again.

Floral paint -  Create simple artwork to brighten up your walls by using floral stencils or trying by freehand! This is a simple and inexpensive way to welcome spring into your home and add a personal touch.

Color
Yellow - Adding touches of yellow in your home is like adding a hint of sunshine. Sunflowers and Canary yellow pillows can instantly brighten up your living space and is easy to swap out.

Violet - Another way you can switch up the color palette in your home is to add soft violet accents. Start with your window treatments or dining room chair cushions. You can also tie in fresh violets for a fresh springtime aroma.

When to Downsize Your Home

Whether you’re looking to save up on money or invest in a new, cozy residence, it might be time to downsize to a townhome. People often mistake downsizing for downgrading, but in reality, it’s the complete opposite. Downsizing can be a smart move for many reasons including the following:

Life events - There are many milestones in life that make downsizing a good idea. For example, if your kids have recently left the nest, you might be in search of a new, luxurious lifestyle that fits the size of your new family and budget. When you invest in a new home, like a townhouse or duplex, you can have the best of both worlds as you transition into your new lifestyle!

Better cost - As we mentioned earlier, downsizing often comes with a lower price tag than you had before. But don’t let that fool you - a better cost doesn’t mean less luxury or convenience. In fact, townhomes offer beautiful living spaces as well as all the amenities and professional maintenance you need to feel like you're completely in your element.

Ideal community - If you’re looking for urban convenience and proximity to fine dining and entertainment, then you’ll want to downsize to a home located close to shopping and restaurants. At Copper Square, we offer townhomes that are located close to everything you could need in the Danbury area.

If downsizing to a townhome sounds like the perfect living solution for you, come check out Copper Square. We offer luxurious townhomes and duplexes, located in the heart of Bethel, CT - a growing community that offers New England charm and urban convenience! Visit our gallery »

Reasons to Buy a New Home Vs. Resale

Previously owned designs can sometimes be charming, but they often come with many repairs and paint jobs. Contrary to popular belief, new homes don’t have to be expensive. In fact, there are many communities that offer affordable homes without all the additional work. Still on the fence between a new home and a fixer upper? Here are three reasons to push for new:

Customize
When you choose a new home instead of a resale, you have the option of customizing your kitchen and oftentimes even the layout. But when you purchase a resale, you have to work with what’s already given to you and gut out previous construction in order to remodel.

Low Maintenance
As we mentioned, new homes can come at affordable prices without additional work. Buying a resale frequently means it’s a fixer upper. But if you prefer a ready-in-ready home, then a new construction will benefit you the most.

Upscale Appliances
With low maintenance repairs also comes the option to choose the most upscale appliances and home fixtures on the market. And again, this means you won’t need to gut out old appliances for new ones. For example, some residential developments allow you to custom-make and pre-design your home before it’s even build.

At Copper Square, we will built you a home with all the personal touches you desire and more. Ready to take a closer peek inside what each of our homes has to offer? Visit our gallery »

4 Signs You Should Buy a Townhome

Dreaming about your future home, but not sure what it looks like? From houses to condos to duplexes, there are many types of homes you can invest in. But when it comes down to the details that are often overlooked, you might realize that a townhome can offer an ideal living situation for you. Here are three reasons to consider a townhome:

You want low maintenance.
One of the key benefits to owning a townhome is the lack of maintenance you need to perform. That’s right! Living in a townhome means you don’t have to fix that burnt patch of grass, rake the leaves, or shovel that heavy snow. Although you can probably plant a row of flowers, you don’t have to worry about fertilizing the lawn or pulling those weeds.

You don’t want to leave the compound.
The other benefit? Your townhome comes with a community, which means you will never have to leave to have a good time. These types of homes offer plenty of amenities, such as an outdoor pool, a coffee shop, a bar, a screening room, and a fitness center.

You prefer an ideal neighborhood.
Most townhomes are located close to all the action - restaurants, bars, shopping centers - you name it. This means when you own a townhome, urban convenience is only a hop, skip, and jump away!

You want security.
One more thing about townhomes is that they offer gated entries. So even if you live on your own, the safety of your home doesn’t need to be of high concern. Plus, unlike those who own a house, you won’t need to pay extra money each month for expensive, private security.

If a townhome sounds like the perfect living solution for you, come check out Copper Square. We offer luxurious townhomes and duplexes, located in the heart of Bethel, CT - a growing community that offers New England charm and urban convenience! Visit our gallery »

Winter Worries to Toss Aside at Copper Square

Snowy weather occurs often in Connecticut. So in an attempt to wash your worries away, Copper Square has put together a plan to make sure you never have to worry about the cleanup process! Get ready for wherever you need to travel and leave the outdoor maintenance to us! Here’s what we mean:

Step 1: Plowing
We know that removing snow from large areas, like parking lots, is a must. So the first step to our snow removal process is plowing. Our maintenance team will respond as soon as you need them with their large snow removal equipment. This will ensure that you can maneuver your vehicles and walk to where you need to be. That is, when the weather has calmed down.

Step 2: Shoveling
Hate the hassle of shoveling your property? Not to worry! Unlike in other neighborhoods, at Copper Square, will take care of this as well. We will keep the snow off your sidewalks for easy access to and from your home and keep less stress on your part. Besides, we understand that shoveling can cause many injuries, and we want to make sure all of our residents stay safe during the coldest time of the year.

Step 3: Sanding
When the night falls and the snow freezes up, slipping can occur. To prevent incidents, we keep ice off your sidewalks and porches so that you don’t have to. Our team is well prepared for the blustery northeast winters, so sanding and salting for easy access is a must on our maintenance checklist.

Winter maintenance can be a pain, but don’t worry - all of this is done for you at Copper Square! And although we hope to start seeing more sunshine than snow this month, we are fully prepared for the next storm, or for those in the years to come.

Have you checked out Copper Square yet? We offer luxurious townhomes and duplexes, located in the heart of Bethel, CT - a growing community that offers New England charm and urban convenience! Hot Paint Color Trends for 2016

When the weather outside is dreary, it’s time to brighten up your home with a fresh coat of paint. Painting your walls is an easy way to stay up-to-date on the latest trends without spending all your dimes. Find out what’s trending for 2016:

Bold Contrast
Bright tones and contrast aren’t just for the summer months! In a room where you entertain often, choose chromatic brights and glossy surfaces that are playful, yet inviting. While dark colors create an illusion of depth, bright colors attract more light and give off the appearance of more space.

Blended Boundaries

For a more modern approach, blurring the boundaries from the top to the bottom of a wall is subtle yet right on point with this year’s paint trends. For example, coat the bottom half of your wall in orange, the top half in turquoise, and use a small brush to blend in the middle.

Geometric Patterns
Get creative with your paint selections through eye-catching patterns. Ask yourself: “Where do I want to attract most attention?” If that means you wish to add more width to a room, create a horizontal border around the top and bottom of your walls. For a stylish touch, trace a unique geometric pattern off to the side of a wall.

Click here to choose amongst the top paint colors of 2016. And for more decorating inspiration, visit Copper Square online! We offer many luxurious townhomes at a cost within reach! Take a sneak peek at our gallery here »

What to Look for In a Home

So you’ve started house hunting but you’re not sure how to know you found the right one. Finding the right home really boils down to knowing the difference between what you need vs. what you want. The key is balance, because let’s face it - sometimes needs weigh more heavily than desires when it comes to your future home. So whether you're looking for that first home or you're hoping to downsize, below are a few questions to help you answer the question: “Have I found the right home?”

Is it in an ideal neighborhood?
Home is where the heart is, but it’s also where you can be part of a community. Location is what people strive for most when searching for their future home. Whether you’re looking for urban convenience or proximity to schools, discovering a home in the perfect spot can make all the difference, even if it doesn’t meet all the other bullet points on your laundry list of needs.

Does it have a gourmet kitchen?
One of the biggest home values you can invest in is a beautiful and timeless kitchen. Look for some high end appliances, a fresh coat of paint, an open layout concept, and you have yourself a space no potential homebuyer will be able to resist - one that will last for many years to come.

Does it suites my basic needs?
Think about the bare necessities. How many bedrooms do you need? How long is your commute to work? Do you need an office space? This means to consider your must-haves and to start narrowing down your options. That way, you can find the one that fits without your lifestyle. Because sometimes what matters most are the simple features of a home that call your name.

Does it fit my budget?
Speaking of basic needs, does the home fit within your budget? If the price of a home offers more than you expected for an affordable cost, chances are it's an ideal fit. Don’t forget, just because you are qualified for a certain amount, doesn’t mean you should aim that high. But of course, this depends upon the features in the home and how much you’re willing to invest.

Your future home is waiting for your at Coppers Square! Come check out our luxurious, affordable townhomes and amenities. We are located in the heart of Bethel, CT - a growing community that offers a blend of urban convenience and New England charm. Our Models, Design Studio & Sales Center are now open.
