Decorating Your Home for Spring 2016

The first day of spring is finally approaching - the perfect time to freshen up your home. Spring is all about blooming flowers and bright colors. Here are a few ways to incorporate these elements and turn your living space into a breath a fresh air:

Nature

Plantlife - From lilacs to sunflowers, there are many flowers that can make your home smell like spring. Or better yet, create a fresh display in a glass terrarium, which come in many shapes and sizes. Hang from your ceiling or place on a coffee table along with other small vases to create a true summer vibe.

Birdbath - Nothing says springtime more than a birdbath. Most people think that birdbaths are meant to be outside, but why not create a mock birdbath for inside the home as well? A birdbath filled with flowering bulbs and moss is the perfect way to create a mini garden for your living room or office.

Artwork

Chalkboard - Who doesn’t love a message board where you can customize notes and set reminders for yourself? Or how about using one as a countdown to spring and summer? Hang a chalkboard on your kitchen wall and write “Happy Spring” or “Countdown to Summer” - you’ll feel like a kid again.

Floral paint -  Create simple artwork to brighten up your walls by using floral stencils or trying by freehand! This is a simple and inexpensive way to welcome spring into your home and add a personal touch. 

Color
